about EPA
EPA is situation in the heart of the East Midlands. Established in 1989 by Principal Maxine Glasby, students are welcomed to the warm and friendly atmosphere which is always apparent when entering EPA. Students feel welcomed and valued.
Individuals are developed as performers and young adults to reach their full potential whilst promoting the British values. Talented students are given the opportunity to train regardless of financial circumstances. EPA is committed to equality, diversity and safeguarding putting both parents and students at ease. With first class facilities and faculty who are highly qualified and specialists in their chosen subjects.
We experience the difficulties and struggles young adults can experience during full time training and being away from home. Support staff are in place along every step of the way. A housing office and pastoral care staff deal with any issues that may occur.
Academic support is given throughout and additional help is always on hand for those students that may require assistance. EPA have a zero tolerance policy for bullying and safeguarding, equality and diversity are paramount.
The students health and welfare are of upmost importance to us at EPA.
OUR facilities
EPA is five minutes walk from the amenities of the town with train and bus stations also five minutes walk away. These offer excellent service to all areas of the Country.
The studios also have their own private car park.
Having undergone a complete extension and refurbishment, the facilities are purpose built and designed to offer state of the art facilities.
Offering 9 fully air conditioned state-of-the-art spaces with sprung floor, sound facilities, mirrored rooms and natural light in a spacial and contemporary building, offering over 37,000 square foot, ensuring no overcrowding in lessons and ensuring the performing addict has plenty of room to excel.
Purpose built study rooms, common room meeting areas with hot and cold drinks and snacks are also available. Free wi-fi is available throughout the building. The building is also equipped with CCTV throughout for added security.

Expressions Performing Arts aims to give you the best possible training in all disciplines along with full support to help you reach your potential.
We offer 2 and 3 year full time courses in Musical Theatre and Dance both courses covering all aspects of modern performance.
Our Musical Theatre Course covers Dance, Acting and Singing, whilst our Dance course focuses on all different genres of Dance. Our experts and state-of-the-art-facilities have got what it takes to help you branch out into the world of Performing Arts and become a master of your craft.
The stage is continually dominated by Musicals and Dance companies and the Academy offers professional training from a high calibre of faculty who have and still are performing professionally.
Students are exposed regularly to a variety of visiting choreographers, Musical Directors and Casting Directors, in preparation for theatre, film and TV, and enabling the students to gain as much exposure in different styles as possible.
EPA also offers an in-house Casting Agency to enable students to gain employment after graduation including West End, UK Tours, Cruise Liners, Film and TV, Commercial Dance, modelling...
In fact, their careers often take them all over the world!

accomodation
Student accommodation is within shared houses specifically for EPA students only within walking distance of the college.
These are affordable, fully furnished, central heated and maintained to a high standard. They comply with all government regulations and undergo regular checks.
16-18 year old students go into specific shared accommodation which is safeguarded by our expertly qualified staff. These are supported by our housing officer and specially trained staff and chaperones to ensure the student is supported at all times.
18+ students can become more independent by renting from our approved local landlords.
